Our Commitment

At Linxon Pty Ltd, we are committed to providing you with high-quality solar lighting solutions. We understand that sometimes you may need to return or exchange a product, and we want to make this process as straightforward as possible.

1. 3-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a 3-day return policy from the date your order is delivered. If 3 days have passed since your purchase, we unfortunately cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

2. Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Unused and in Resalable Condition: The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and in its original, sealed packaging.
  • Original Packaging: All original boxes, manuals, and accessories must be included.
  • Proof of Purchase: You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase (e.g., your order number or invoice).

Non-Returnable Items: The following items are exempt from being returned:

  • Clearance or heavily discounted items (if clearly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase).
  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged, or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.

3. Return Process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us: Email our customer support team at info@solarlightsa.co.za] with the subject line “Return Request – [Your Order Number]”.
  2. Provide Details: Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and the reason for the return.
  3. Receive Authorization: Our team will review your request and, if approved, will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN) and the return shipping address. Please do not send items back without an RAN.
  4. Package and Ship: Securely package the item(s) and clearly write the RAN on the outside of the box. You are responsible for the return shipping costs, and we recommend using a trackable shipping service, as we cannot guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Return Shipping Costs:

  • For returns due to a change of mind or incorrect purchase by the customer, the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.
  • For returns of defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied items (our error), Linxon Pty Ltd will cover the return shipping costs.

4. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email notification confirming the status of your refund.

  • Approved: If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment within 7-14 working days.
  • Declined: If the product is found to be used, damaged, or not in resalable condition, the return may be declined, and we will contact you regarding the options for returning the item to you at your expense.

Late or Missing Refunds: If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again. Then contact your credit card company/bank, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us.

5. Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

If an item is defective, damaged upon arrival, or if you received the incorrect product, please notify us immediately (within 48 hours of delivery) by emailing info@solarlightsa.co.za.

  • We will require a detailed description and photographic evidence of the damage or defect.
  • We will arrange for the collection of the incorrect/defective item and ship a replacement to you at no extra cost. If a replacement is not available, a full refund will be issued.

6. Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange a defective or damaged item for the same product, please follow the procedure in section 5.

If you wish to exchange a non-defective item (e.g., for a different model), please initiate a standard return (section 3) and place a new order for the desired item.

7. Consumer Protection Act (South Africa)

This return policy is in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008 (CPA) of South Africa. Your statutory rights under the CPA are not affected by this policy.
